Main Clearing

EarthClan's rocky and vegetated main clearing.

"Earthstar, I thought you were injured!" Rainpaw mewed. "I am better now, Rainpaw. Thank you for worrying about me!" he thanked the young she-cat.

Shypaw causiously padded up to Earthstar and mewed, quietly, "I'm glad you're better, Earthstar." She then licked Earthstar's shoulder respectfully.

"Thank you, Shypaw. How is your training going?" he asked nicely.

"I am doing good!" Shypaw mewed.

Nightfrost then padded up to Earthstar and listened to the apprentices talk to the leader.

Earthstar smiled at Nightfrost then looked around for his apprentice,Adderpaw.

Nightfrost then cracked a little smile back at Earthstar.

"Have you seen Adderpaw?" he asked the apprentices. Defore purring at Nightfrost.

Nightfrost purred back at Earthstar.

Adderpaw padded up to the gathered group of cats. "Sorry I am late Earthstar." Adderpaw mewed appoligetically.

"That's ok. I was thinking I'd teach you how to swim today!" he replied. Meadowbliss frowned and whispered "He shouldn't be in the water in his condition!" to Dawnwhisker.

Dawnwhisker turned to Meadowbliss, "I know. He still needs rest. Should we tell him that he needs to rest?" Dawnwhisker mewed to Meadowbliss.

Adderpaw, at that moment was boucing with joy. "Really?!" Then he started to yowl with happiness.

Nightfrost purred with amusement at the little apprentice.

"I would." Meadowbliss replied.

Earthstar let out a mrrow of laughter at his apprentice.

"Okay, I will be back in a moment." Dawnwhisker mewed and she got to her paws. She then padded over to Earthstar and mewed, "Earthstar, as you medicine cat, I feel that you should not be going in the water with your condition."

Adderpaw then slunk down when he heard Dawnwhisker talk to Earthstar.

"Dawnwhisker, I'll be fine! A little water shouldn't hurt!" Earthstar complained. Rainpaw was amused by her leader's childish reaction.

"Earthstar, please. I dont think it would be good for you." Dawnwhisker pleaded.

Nightfrost was watching the scene with worried eyes.

Earthstar sighed. "Alright. For now I'll have to rest. Maybe tomorrow, Adderpaw." his eyes did look really drained. He padded to his den and slept the rest of the day and all night. The next day he was all charged up.

Adderpaw was really disappointed that they couldnt go swimming, but Adderpaw was glad that Earthstar had decided to rest.

The next day, he bounded out of his den and toward the clearing, full of energy. "Adderpaw, let's go swiming now!" he called, happy to get out of the cave after two days of only sleeping.

Adderpaw was up and out of the apprentices den in a quick moment. "Yeah!!" He mewed, overjoyed.

Nightfrost was on the other side of the clearing, watching Earthstar pad over to Adderpaw, his lean muscles rippling underneath his pelt. What am I doing!? Nightfrost thought to herself as she caught herself mooning over her Clan leader.

Earthstar sensed some cat was watching him. He turned to see Nightfrost looking at him...longingly? He smiled at her. Then he said "Nightfrost, do you want to come swimming with us?" hopefully, his dark green eyes sparkling.

Nightfrost hesitated for a split moment, wondering if he had aslo seen her looking at him. "Sure. But I dont want to be an intrusion." She mewed, a little quieter. Then she lifted her head and gazed into Earthstar's sparkling green eyes and then whisked her eyes away. Nightfrost didnt want Eathstar to think she was acting odd.

Earthstar cocked his head to the side. "Are you ok? Of course you're not an intrusion! You've been acting strange lately. Do you want to talk about it?" he asked.

"No. I am fine. Really. Earthstar." Nightfrost mewed, trying to keep the sound of lie out of her voice.

Earthstar still didn't think Nightfrost was alright but he let it go. "Well, let's go then..." he said uncertainly.

"Okay..." Nightfrost mewed, uncertain if she had done something to upset Earthstar.
